My Work
Below is a selection of the 1,000+ pieces I've produced during my time at Good Morning America, spanning everything from breaking news and politics to entertainment and human interest. One of my favorite things about working in morning television is getting to tell so many different kinds of stories, and I am just as passionate about breaking down complex geopolitics as I am about putting together a feel-good feature. I love that my work has allowed me to become a well-rounded storyteller, and I hope these stories give you a glimpse into my work as a producer.
South Asian Stories
I take pride in all my work, but these stories are closest to my heart. Growing up, I rarely saw people who looked like me or stories that thoughtfully reflected my culture on television. It's been incredibly meaningful to play a part in changing that, sharing stories that celebrate the people, traditions, and experiences that make our community so special.
I personally pitched, produced, and scripted each of these pieces.
Juice and Java
A Few of My Favorites
This was the show that made me realize that producing is what I wanted to do with my life, and it gave me the confidence that I could do it, and that I could do it well. When I entered my term as the Executive Producer for Juice and Java, I had a long list of goals I hoped to accomplish. I'm happy to say that at the conclusion of my term, I met most, if not all, of my goals. I am proud of the content I had on all of my shows, but these shows, which were a part of our regular programming, stand out to me most as instances of when I was able to accomplish a goal or introduce something new. I was the EP and director of all these shows.
Field Producing
Some of my favorite experiences as a producer have taken me outside the newsroom and into the field. I love traveling to new places, meeting people from all walks of life, and somehow being lucky enough to share their stories with the world.
These pieces involve extensive pre-shoot planning and logistics, collaborating with crews and stakeholder teams, knowing how to make people feel comfortable enough to open up, and constantly adapting to the unexpected. And that's just the beginning — then I head back to New York, write the script, and work in edit to bring it all together with creativity and care.
Below are some of my field-producing highlights (not including the South Asian stories above), spanning interviews with newsmakers, fun and joyful features, and serious, thought-provoking stories.
Leading Breaking News Coverage
As the sole overnight senior producer for Weekend GMA, I'm responsible for leading the team and overseeing the show's editorial content during the critical night hours, during which some of the biggest stories of the year have occurred. My role means making quick editorial decisions, coordinating coverage across teams, reviewing and approving scripts, and constantly adapting as new information comes in — all while staying calm under pressure in what feels like a race against time.
I consider journalism to be the fourth estate and a service to the general public. On mornings when millions of Americans wake up to find that major news has broken overnight, they turn to us, and it is our responsibility and duty to give them the information and context they need to understand these world events.
Below are some of the biggest breaking news stories I've helped lead coverage of, from major international conflicts and U.S. military operations to mass shootings and other developing stories here at home.
Pop Culture & Entertainment
One of my favorite parts about working in morning television is that we get to cover a little bit of everything, not just hard news. As someone who always has a pulse on pop culture (and admittedly has a rather high screen time), I've loved being able to flex my creative — and chronically online — muscles to talk about what everyone is talking about.
These stories require a different set of storytelling skills and reflect my well-roundedness not just as a producer, but as a person. While I care deeply about breaking news and keeping the world informed about today's issues, I also love all things pop culture, and I'm glad my work allows me to do both.
Covering the Israel-Hamas War
When the Israel-Hamas war began on October 7, 2023, I became Good Morning America's main tape producer for our coverage of the conflict. Over the months that followed, I worked to keep up with constantly evolving developments, thoughtfully choosing every word and image that went into our storytelling, carefully assessing the information we received, and ensuring we approached our reporting with the accuracy, sensitivity, and responsibility that a story of this magnitude demands.
Covering this war has been one of the most challenging and meaningful experiences of my career. It has reinforced my belief in the importance of responsible journalism, particularly when reporting on stories that affect so many lives and evoke such strong emotions.
Below are a select few of the many pieces I've produced that I believe best showcase this work.
